What I’ve Read – January 2021

Feb 1, 2021 | What I've Read

Happy New Year! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful, relaxing start to the year.

It’s been a good start to the year on the reading front. I’ve set myself a goal of reading 50 books this year, and January started the challenge well with seven books read.

For anyone who is busy, remember to count every book you read,  including picture books! Five of the seven books I read were picture books!

Darcy and the Dinosaurs by Nicole Madigan kickstarted the year. When you have a dinosaur crazy kid, how could I not read this one? Other picture books included Never Ever Marry a Mermaid by Adam Wallace, Superhero’s Wear Masks by Chris Stead, The Lovely Haze of Baby Days by Lindsay Kellar-Madsen, and Not Just a Knot by Jessica Sizeland.

My son gave me The Descendants books for Christmas and I read the first one, The Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz. This is a YA series about the children of the Disney villains.

My seventh book was Murder in the Dark by Kerry Greenwood, a Phryne Fisher Mystery. These are always a lot of fun and this was no different.

I hope you had a great January and found some time to read some awesome books.
