What I’ve Read – December 2019

Jan 1, 2020 | What I've Read

Can you believe we’re at the end of 2019 already?

Picture books featured highly in my December reading. My kids gave me My Pet Star by Corrinne Averiss & Rosalind Beardshaw and Ten Minutes to Bed Little Unicorn by Rhiannon Fielding & Chris Chatterton for Christmas. They know that picture books always make an awesome present for their Mum.

I also read The Very Super Bear by Nick Bland. This was a present for my three-year-old nephew who loves superheroes and ninjas. He also loves this series of books.

Even though I didn’t do much long driving during December, I still listened to two audio books. I’ve found these are helpful when doing housework! I listened to Pennies for Hitler by Jackie French and Christmas Crumble by MC Beaton.

I also finished one novel during December, How to Be Second Best by Jessica Dettmann. This has been on my TBR shelf for a while. I managed to finish this on December 31. I was determined to finish it before the New Year.

This brings my total on GoodReads to 58 books when I had set a goal of reading 50 books. There are a few books that aren’t listed on GoodReads that I read during the year too, so my total is over 60 books.

How did you go in December, as well as in 2019?
