What I’ve Read – August 2021

Sep 1, 2021 | What I've Read

Three books were read during August.

The Women’s Pages by Victoria Purman is one that I’ve wanted to read since it first came out. I think I bought a copy in the Boxing Day Sales last year and have only just read it. A fantastic story set just after the second World War in Australia.

Adventures in the Outback by Greg Jessop is one that I picked up at a local author event and is a collection of short stories about kids who live in remote parts of Australia.

The Extraordinary Tom Fink by Karen Casey is the prequel to The Extraordinary Ordinary Gum Tree and another great Aussie story.

All of these are great books. If you’re looking for stories by Australian authors that give snapshots of Australia, check these out.
