Something Exciting Arrived!

Jul 6, 2022 | My Book, News

I received some awesome mail today. Check it out:

These are my proof copies of My Mummy is Evil!

I’m not sure if I’ve posted much about this picture book here, so here’s the short version of the story (more will come later).

Back in 2012, I wrote the first draft of this picture book as part of the 12×12 in 2012 challenge. My kids, then aged 8 & 10, called me evil for making them go to bed at normal time during the school holidays. I think they were also watching movies like The Incredibles, so I imagined mum as a cartoon villain and though of all the things mums get kids to do that kids would call ‘evil’.

I’ve been working on it on and off ever since. I read the book to kids and parents, and all of them thought it was hilarious, I knew it had to be published.

Today’s the day, ten years in the making, where you can place a pre-order for My Mummy is Evil.

To pre-order a copy, head over to my shop. It’ll be posted once the books arrive from the printer.
