One Prompt, Multiple Stories

Feb 14, 2023 | Blog, Events, Writers Group

We had a lot of fun in Virtual Writers Group last week, and came up with a fun challenge for participants.

Starting this week, we are going to start a series of sessions where we look at using one prompt to write multiple stories.

Why are we doing this?

We wanted to try something different. During 2020 and 2021, I ran multiple writers group sessions a week, often using the same prompt. This meant that I challenged myself to write something different each time. I also experimented with using a single prompt of ‘The White Dress’ to write multiple stories.

Using a single prompt to write multiple stories can be a challenge and is a lot of fun. We will start doing this on Friday and continue for a few weeks, with each week looking at a different way to use the writing prompt.

If you have a young writer who would like to join in, sign up here.

If your young writer misses the first session, they can pick it up the following week.

This is going to be a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.
