I can’t believe March is already over! I’ve recently come back from a two week holiday to Nepal. It was AMAZING, and I got quite a few books read. Before I left, I worked hard at finishing most of the books I had on the go.
Here’s what I read during March:
- Far From Home by Sheila Newbury – an audibook that was okay
- Sunset in Sydney by Sandy Barker – a romance audiobook. I hadn’t realised this was part of a series
- The Booksellers Gift by Felicity Hayes-McCoy – a romance book that was interesting in that it wasn’t a single love story, there were a few in there. I enjoyed this one
- Witch Way to Murder and Mayhem by Jane Hinchey – an ebook I read on my kindle. I had downloaded this a while ago and only just read it now. I enjoyed this story of murder and mayhem.
- Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella – I borrowed this as an audiobook not realising I had read this a number of years earlier. This was an interesting premise and, because I had read it before, was a good one to doze to while on the plane.
- The Imagination Box by Martyn Ford – a middle grade book I borrowed as an audiobook. It’s a fun story and one I think my nephew will enjoy.
- Namaste! by Diana Cohn – a picture book I bought in Nepal. It has a lovely message that saying Namaste to people can brighten their day and be just as important as the work grown ups do.
- Yak and Nak go on a Trek by Hermione Roff & Tim Griffiths – a picture book I bought in Nepal that has a fun message about being in the place that’s right for you
- The Battle of the Bookshops by Poppy Alexander – a romance audiobook that was trying to be a version of Romeo and Juliet. It was okay, but fell a bit short for me
- Ne’er Duke Well by Alexandra Vasti – a Regency romance I listened to on audiobook. An interesting story with a number of threads to keep me listening
- Saving the Lakeside Hotel by Melinda Huber – this is an ebook I downloaded a while ago. It was an enjoyable story and I want to see what happens next
- The Adventures of Captain Vertigo and Fart Man by Jules Wallace – another ebook I downloaded a while ago. This is set up as a series of short stories and I read this on the plane. A fun book for a middle grade audience
With this, I’m at 30 books for the year. I currently have a number of books on the go, including an audiobook I began before I went away (I may finish it later today, but will include it in the post next month)
How has your reading been going for the year?
