School Days

I was pretty quiet at school and a bit of a book nerd. When you consider I read Gone with the Wind in class during Year 7, that might be a bit of a clue.

I went to seven primary schools in two different countries, and one high school. Moving around like that, I never felt that I really fit in anywhere. I wasn’t interested in the things the other kids were and much preferred to sit quietly and read a book. It’s probably no surprise to hear that English and Literature were two of my best subjects, and I also enjoyed Maths and Science.

One big plus is that my memories of high school are providing a lot of inspiration for my books in the hope that by bringing them into my stories, they may help other kids who are going through similar experiences.
