Trying to edit…

Since the Write on Wednesday piece this week, I have been working on the original idea of the Jimmy James story.

Now that I know what I’m doing with his stories, I’m trying to rewrite the original. It needed work anyway, but now I have some details to add.

Here’s my problem – I know what I want, but it’s just not coming. The words just aren’t flowing, at least, not when I’m sitting down to write.

It’s not quite the same as writers block, as the words are in my head, they’re just not transferring to the page. I need help, but I don’t know what to do next.

For all you writers out there reading this, what do you do when this happens? I think I need to scrap it and just start again with a blank page, but even that isn’t happening.

I need some ideas – please help!
