Worth Reading: Raymund and the Fear Monster

Sep 1, 2025 | Worth Reading

This weeks Book Worth Reading is ‘Raymund and the Fear Monster’ by Megan Higginson & Ester de Boer.

Raymund lives in a small village at the bottom of a mountain, at the top of the mountain lives a monster! How will Raymund overcome his fear and defeat the monster?

The story has a strong message about being brave, the outside persona is not always the same as who they are on the inside, overcoming fear, and living with it.

The illustrations are stunning and so detailed. Kids and adults will love finding little details in the illustrations.

Whether your kids have fears or are confident, this is a book that should be in every library and every home.

Available on Amazon & Booktopia, and you can request it in your local library.
