Questions for writers?

Feb 19, 2013 | Blog

In one of my writers groups on Facebook, one of my friends was asking about questions writers would like to be asked in an interview.

A few of us have answered her question, but to help her out, I thought I’d ask here too.

If you were to ask questions of a writer, what would you ask? If you are a writer, what questions would you like to be asked?

Some of the questions I’ve thought of include:

  • What do you read?
  • How do you get ideas for your work?
  • How do you name characters?
  • What sort of research do you do and where do you research?

What questions would you like to ask a writer?

Also, just for fun, I’ve set up an online Q&A profile for myself on Ask.fm if you’d like to ask me a question, click here.
