For your own reading, do you prefer ebooks or traditional paper/hard back books?

ebooks or print books?

ebooks or print books?

For my own reading, I prefer printed books. I have the Kindle app on my iPad, phone and laptop, and have books that I’ve downloaded, however I prefer printed books.

The main reason I prefer printed books is that I spend all day at work looking at screens, and when I’m writing I’m looking at screens, so it’s good to give my eyes a rest. There’s also something special about the feel of a book in your hands.

I’ve also found that reading picture books to my nephews, print books are much better as they try to swipe the screen to make things move if I’m reading an ebook on the iPad (picture book apps work much better here).

Having ebooks does make life easier if I’m out and about and need a book to read as I can fit my iPad or phone in my bag and have a variety of books to read that fit the mood I’m in.
