Listening to music while writing

Listening to music while writing

Sometimes I listen to music while I write, sometimes the TV is on, and sometimes there’s nothing.

As life is getting back to normal, it’s not unusual to have the musical stylings of my kids as they practice the piano and clarinet after school! It could also be the radio, we mostly listen to Light FM, our local community station.

The other sort of music that often plays is the music my dad has put on his record player. This could be classical music or some classics from the 1970s. He puts it on and turns the volume up loud!

I have learned to write with whatever background music (or noise) is happening at the time.
