What I’ve Read – March 2021

Apr 1, 2021 | What I've Read

It’s no joke, it’s April!

March was a month for some brilliant picture books with some authors I discovered from the US and UK.

I have been looking for books that feature boys in careers and roles that not stereotypical roles for boys as I have a son going into childcare. As part of this, I discovered the Clive series by Jessica Spanyol. I read Clive is a Librarian and Clive and his Bags. These are cute books featuring a kid named Clive and his friends. There are more in the series… watch this space (I didn’t read them all at once).

Dragon to the Rescue by Sienna Williams is another awesome dragon story about starting school. Wonder Mommy by Jennifer Senne is a story for parents with a chronic illness to help explain life to their children. Gloomy Baboony by Lizzie Simpson has a message that it’s OK to feel down and for others to support you and not have to solve everything.

I also read Return to the Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz, the second in The Descendants series.

On audiobook, I listened to The Pretty Delicious Cafe by Danielle Hawkins, a story set in New Zealand.

That was my April, bring on May!
