What I’ve Read – October 2020

Nov 1, 2020 | News, What I've Read

We are getting settled in our new house and most of my books are unpacked. There is something about having bookshelves bursting with books that makes a house a home.

October was a very exciting month as I published an amazing anthology by young Australian authors called Something Funny Happened on the Way To… This book shows the lighter side to life in isolation as told by young writers aged 8-18.

As always, picture books were a feature in my reading list this month. Books included The Wildest Book Week Ever by Heath McKenzie, We’re All In This Together by Skye Hughes, Sooty & SnowA Beautiful Girl, A Hero Like You all by Nikki Rogers, The Fire Wombat by Jackie French, and Oma & Opa’s Song by Jenny Gillan. The last book is a picture book by my amazing sister.

I am trying to read more chapter books and middle grade books, and read Fiona and Friends: Bird Rescue by Elizabeth Mary Cummings.

I was also able to finish reading A Maze of Murder by Kate Krake. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

November is looking promising with my To Be Read pile growing with some amazing books.
