What I’ve Read – August 2019

Sep 1, 2019 | What I've Read

The year is flying by. August was full of many long drives for various reasons. I love the Borrow Box app on my iPad and I downloaded a number of eBooks to listen to on these drives.

I listened to Mr Bambuckles Remarkables Fight Back and Mr Bambuckles Remarkables Go Wild by Tim Harris. The first book was out on loan and I keep waiting for it to be available. In the mean time, I enjoyed these two books. I also listened to Alice-Miranda at School by Jacqueline Harvey, a book I’ve been meaning to listen to or read for ages and another one that I enjoyed.

Colours of Death by Robert New is a collection of short stories that are a series of cases based on colours of the rainbow. I really enjoyed these stories and the creative ways the detectives solved murders that were just as creative.

The last book for August was Max Booth Future Sleuth – Film Flip by Cameron Macintosh and Dave Atze. I’ll be reviewing this one in a couple of weeks. This will be an awesome chapter book for kids who love adventure and history… but more later with my review.

September is promising to be a quieter month (fingers crossed) and I have a huge pile of books to read!

How did you go during September?

Welcome to the behind the scenes for my next book. This time it's an ebook. When I got back to creative writing in 2011, I had recently closed my business, Business Mums Network. I had started this business in 2002 and a big part of that was blogging. It was natural...
