What I’ve Read – February 2019

Mar 1, 2019 | What I've Read

This year is going way too quickly, March is already here.

February was a good month for reading, especially picture books.

I finished reading A Month of Sundays by Liz Byrski. It took me a while to get into it, but once I got to know the characters, I really enjoyed it. There was one particular scene near the end that spoke to where I’m at right now.

One audio book was added to my list, Turbo Twenty-Three by Janet Evanovich. It’s been a while since I’ve read a Stephanie Plum book and I really enjoyed listening to this in the car.

The picture books I read were Dippy’s Big Day Out by Jackie French, The Little Koala Who Lost his Tree by Jedda Robaard, Harvey, The Boy Who Couldn’t Fart by Matthew Johnstone, Piranhas Don’t Eat Bananas by Aaron Blabey, and Saying Goodbye to Barkley by Devon Sillett and Nicky Johnston. They were all great books that I enjoyed sharing with my nephews.

To finish the list, I enjoyed reading Bring it On by Jo Stanley, a story about girls playing AFL, and Heart of the Mountain by Jeanette O’Hagan, a novella for teens

I’ve started reading Blood Crystal by Jeanette O’Hagan, the follow up to Heart of the Mountain, and The Clockmakers Daughter by Kate Morton. I’m enjoying them both so far. I may be crazy to be reading two books, though they are different sizes and Blood Crystal is small enough to fit in my handbag to read in the waiting room at appointments.

What did you read during February?
