Are you looking for an activity with a difference for your next Wellbeing Day?
Melissa Gijsbers is neurodivergent and uses creative writing as an integral part of her own wellbeing and shares this with participants in talks and workshops using her own writing as a starting point.
The length and format can vary depending on your needs.
These could include:
- Half Hour session with one of her books. Melissa reads one of her books, or part of one if it’s a chapter book, and discusses how writing this book fits in her wellbeing. This session can be interactive with participants responding and asking questions.
- One Hour to 90 Minute session. This starts the same as the half hour session, then moves to a writing session where participants can have fun writing their own story and trying out creative writing to kickstart it as part of their wellbeing.
- Something else that can fit with your requirements.
Before the session, Melissa will talk with you about the participants and your aims for the session, which book you would like to feature, and sessions can be tailored to your needs. If you have something specific in mind, sessions can be tailored to your needs.
Sessions are suitable for participants of all ages.
